The Novel – Stalled

The novel I keep going on about, a fictionalised version of the events between London Andrews and myself etc, is written….of a fashion.

It’s written in the old fashioned way, by pen and paper. But it seems I have stalled yet again, when it comes to typing it up. Writers block ?

Well, no. I am just very, very busy. But, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I retire in a few months – like I have said before, I am a lot older than you think ! This is why I am very busy. Meeting, meeting and more meetings. Meeting at work, meeting with financial and pensions advisers. Training my replacement. And also writing manuals for the jobs that I do. Because so much of what I do, when things go wrong, is not recorded. It’s just in my head, based on decades of experience. All this needs sorting out for May, then I can just coast for the last few months to the finish-line and escape.

Then there is a hell of a lot on my ‘to do list’. One of which is to type up the completed novel and send it out…..what this space, as they say.
