Tumblr AI Puritanism Gets Worse !

It just gets worse ! Tumblr Facebook are using ‘AI’ to monitor for breeches in ‘community guidelines’, basically anything that’s too sexy. Well, it seems almost anything to too sexy !

Because, as you may know Facebook has already but a temporary ban on me for a video that Instagram accepted. It’s still up there. When I contacted FB to try and get the ban lifted….no joy. It’s all ‘AI’ and I struggled to get any where and have just had to give up and wait-out the ban before I can start posting again on FB.

Tumblr isn’t quiet that bad ...yet, but.

Tumblr has also been using an ‘AI’ system, but with a defined appeals process. That appeal used to be to a person at the end of the day. Now, it seems to be more ‘AI’ and no feed back as to whether or not they agree with you, that it is not ‘mature content’ or that even if you marked as ‘mature content’, it was too mature and sexual ! I only know if I go looking at the post itself.

Tumblr’s ‘AI’ is getting bad, just look, this week it ‘..determined it needed a content label.’

IE, mature content or violent content. But this was on a YouTube music track !

I now have to waste time checking on items I’ve posted recently.

What is very worrying, because I’m just finding out about it by accident. Its ‘AI’ has gone back over every single one of my posts and ‘We reviewed your post and determined it needed a content label.’ Dozens and dozens of older posts have retroactively reviewed and labelled by this ‘AI’ bot, but I was never told it was happening. Or that some of my older were no longer visible or have even been removed !

And this is what has worried me for sometime, retrospective review by puritanic ‘AI’ and being banned because they change the rules now, but apply them to things that were okay for the old rules. The sort of thing that happened on MeWe a number of years ago.
